Company headquarters of ANT AG

Since 1999 the Lübeck company of ANT Applied New Technologies AG has developed, manufactured and distributed devices and systems for the innovative technology of the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting process. In recent years ANT has developed the technology, which had been developed in an English university, to market maturity. With the help of a water jet and sharp-edged abrasive materials – preferably garnet sand – as well as pressure steps up to 2,500 bar, even high-tensile steels of up to 25 centimetres and a multiplicity of other difficult-to-cut materials can be cut more effectively, safely and economically.

The special know-how of ANT lies in the valve technology and hence in the mixing of water and the abrasive substance under high pressure. Wherever conventional cutting technology cannot be used because of heat generation, material removal, deformation, large space requirement or danger to human life, the environmentally-friendly cutting process from ANT can be used. These applications may be in the industrial area just as much as in contaminated areas of nuclear power plants, underwater construction of oil platforms or offshore systems as well as in civil engineering.

In the special engineering field, ANT develops, plans, constructs and supplies special devices and systems for automation, robotics and handling technology for automotive suppliers, foundries, chemical and medical companies. This company area also supplies the complete engineering project in soft and hardware form for water jet cutting.

A high proportion of the 26 employees are engineers. Nationally and internationally they are seen as sought-after specialists and discussion partners since they are integrated into the research and development area as well as practical customer projects. They are also in close contact and can exchange ideas with the research institutes of the Universities of Dortmund and Hanover as well as other universities and colleges. International partners support the distribution activities throughout the world and the tasks carried out on all continents.

For its own water jet technology, ANT has obtained numerous system patents as well as certificates from the Federal Office for Material Research (BAM) for the very high international standards for areas at risk of explosion. ANT is also certified according to the Quality Assurance Standard DIN EN ISO 9001.
